Aim and description

We invite the researchers and practitioners to present and discuss advances in the research and development of intelligent systems for complex image processing and interpretation, based on efficient feature selection in the field of diagnosis, monitoring and control. Hence, the goal of this workshop is to bring together researchers, engineers, medical specialists and users in different domains which are engaged in solving their problems by the aid of intelligent image processing algorithms and with interest in novel methods, techniques and algorithms for intelligent image processing proposed to solve difficult problems in the mentioned field.

Topics

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Criteria for feature selection
  • Image processing for real time control
  • Neural networks and deep neuronal networks for image processing
  • Traffic control based on images
  • Medical diagnosis systems based on complex image processing
  • Assistive technologies based on image processing
  • UAV and robot guidance based on image interpretation
  • Quality control based on image processing
  • Fractal analysis
  • Texture analysis
  • Parallel processing (CPU/GPU) of images
  • Image processing and Internet of Things
  • Image processing and cloud computing
  • Image processing optimization

Paper submission

We invite submissions in the form of:
+ research papers,
+ extended abstracts

Papers of up to 8 pages (in CPS Conference Style) should be electronically submitted through Easy Chair.

Research papers must contain original research results not submitted and not published elsewhere. Authors which want to present work in progress or discuss new aspects or a survey of their older research results at the workshop are welcome to submit an extended abstract (up to 4 pages). Papers will be refereed and accepted on the basis of their scientific merit and relevance to the Workshop topics.

Publication

Research papers that are accepted and presented at the workshop will be collected as proceedings published by Conference Publishing Service (CPS) and will be submitted for indexing in ISI Web of Science, DBLP, SCOPUS.
