Special Session for PhD students

20 August 2020 : Registration and revised papers for pre-proceedings

01-04 September 2020 : Symposium

30 November 2020 : Final papers for post-proceedings

 Description   

 This special session of PhD students is an opportunity for Ph.D. students to present their work to the research community. This is a a good venue for students to share their research ideas and approaches with other students, to obtain feedback from experts with different perspectives and to connect to a network that can be very helpful for their career. MSc students submissions are encouraged.    We welcome submissions from any field of computer science research.     

Each participating student is required to:  

+ submit an Extended Abstract with no more than 4 pages according to the instructions given below,  

+ provide an oral presentation.     

The best paper will be selected to receive Ph.D. Special Session Award and authors of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version for inclusion in the conference proceedings published under Conference Publishing Services.     

Submission information     

All submissions should include an extend abstract with no more than 4 pages, formatted using CPS Conference Style, describing the research conducted so far by the student and outlining the research prospects for the near future. A full-paper submission is not required for participating at the session. However, for the best papers selected during the conference, full versions of up to 8 pages should be submitted after the conference for inclusion in the proceedings. The selection will be based on the content and quality of the extended abstract, poster and oral presentation. The main selection criteria are: (i) relevance of the topic; (ii) significance of the original contribution(s); (iii) quality of the written and oral presentations.
