SegWEDA – 2nd Workshop on Serious Games in Well-being, Environment, Digital Heritage and Other Applications

AIM

Serious games address practical problems by using games as a backbone for reaching a wider audience and enabling immersive experiences in areas ranging from education and museums to healthcare and environment. In this workshop, we are calling out for novel research on serious games addressing cross-stack aspects ranging from theory and design to immersive devices, ethical implications, and (interdisciplinary) applications.

  • immersive experience through integrated haptic and XR devices
  • legal and ethical implications of serious games
  • applications of serious games in environment, well-being, digital heritage, etc.

All deadlines are 11:59 pm, AoE time (Anywhere on Earth).

PAPER SUBMISSION

We invite submissions containing original research results in the form of:

  • full research papers
  • short papers (work in progress)

Papers of up to 8 pages prepared according to the CPS template must be submitted electronically using the submission system that will be later accessible through EasyChair.
Research papers must contain original research results not submitted and not published elsewhere. Authors who want to present work in progress or discuss new aspects or a survey of their older research results at the workshop are welcome to submit an extended abstract (up to 4 pages). Papers will be refereed and accepted on the basis of their scientific merit and relevance to the workshop topics.

PUBLICATION

Research papers that are accepted and presented at the workshop will be collected as proceedings published by Conference Publishing Service (CPS) and will be submitted for indexing in ISI Web of Science, DBLP, SCOPUS.
